I've been wanting more outdoor space to use for letting it all hang out. Living in the city, though, with neighbors close on all sides, that can be a bit tricky. The other day I finally realized there is a small space right up next to our privacy fence and under a beautiful old Oak tree that would nicely fit a hammock. And... ta da... it is a perfect spot for hanging out in every meaning of that term.
The Sun was out and it was hot. Under the shade of the Oak tree and with a gentle breeze blowing, it was really comfortable. The hammock gently rocked with the moving air. The leaves rustled in the trees. Birds were chirping. It was simply lovely.
It did not take long before my husband decided to join me. Ahh... Summer bliss! Everyone should have a space outside where they can just hang out.
